Digital Detox
I decided to deactivate my social media accounts for quite a while, and here’s what I learned from it:
- Real friends won’t mind, because with or without social media, your relationship stays the same - meaningful and genuine.
- You’ll know better who and what matters most in life.
- It will give you so much more time to read, write, reflect, and create.
- Withdrawal symptoms will be experienced. Accept it as it comes. It’s normal. And know that you’ll be okay.
- Opting out of social media allows you to let go of other people’s perception of you and focus on working on your inner world which is far more important, as it provides long-term and deeper happiness.
